What this covers

This policy explains how Missing Mac Features handles information from this website and our Mac applications, including WindowBar.

Information you provide

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your email, such as your email address, name, and message. We use it only to respond and provide support.

When you purchase a paid product, Dodo Payments processes the transaction and may collect payment, billing, and contact information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

WindowBar data

WindowBar uses macOS Accessibility APIs to read visible app and window information so it can display and activate your open windows. Your app list, window titles, pinned apps, settings, and timer data stay on your Mac.

When you activate WindowBar Pro, the app sends your license key and a generated device name to Dodo Payments to activate and validate your license. The license key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. WindowBar does not send your window titles or app list to us.

Website technology

The website is a static site. We do not currently use our own analytics, advertising trackers, or account system. Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request logs to deliver and protect the site.

Service providers

We use hosting providers to serve the website and Dodo Payments to process purchases and manage software license keys. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Data choices

You can contact us to ask about information associated with your support request or purchase. You can also remove WindowBar’s local data by deleting the app’s data and Keychain item from your Mac. Some transaction and license records may need to be retained by Dodo Payments for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or support purposes.
